Its formation has been guided by share holders and directors who are trained and qualified techno-preneur in the field of industrial ceramics, excavation and clay mining works for a number of years. The company has been awarded by the state government of sarawak, Malaysia to do the mining of ball clay (plastic clay) in the vicinity of tapah (sentah segu) in the kuching division with a reserve of 400,000 tons, and in batu burak, sibu division with a reserve of 3,000,000 tons. With this two locations, asm cahaya sdn bhd has the largest ball clay concessions in Malaysia
